RIVUSHIYE STRUNY (eng. - Roaring Strings) - punk-psycho-noise-art band from Moscow, RF. Was formed in 2005. Participated in different rock, alternative, experimental festivals, concerts and actions in Russia. Performing intensively at Moscow & St.-Petersburg stages. Opened Iggy and The Stooges concert in Moscow (September 2007, B1 Club). What is Rivushiye Struny? It’s a peculiar performance about that kind of rock, which Soviet press used to frighten citizens. DIRTY… STUPID… LOUD… Lyrics based on real happenings in a life of hippy red-neck bums, alcoholics, drug addicts, during the period of developed socialism. ALEXEY BORISOV (BORIS) (guitar, electronics) – a founder of one of the first Russian Industrial formation, “Nochnoy Prospekt” (Night Prospect), a man of experimentation in different fields of electronic music, a DJ, co-author of many artistic projects. http://www.myspace.com/alexeiborisov http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexei_Borisov ALEXEY BORTNICHUK (LYOLIK) (lead guitar) – started as lead guitarist at famous USSR band of 80-ies - “Zvuki Mu” and followed all steps of development with that unique collective. Still on his way for experiments, searching for his own artistic image. RAFKAT BADRETDINOV (RAF) (drums, percussion) – a professional musician, able to open jazz improvisation, where, it seems, to do that, just impossible. A participant of many popular & unpopular projects. Teaching young generation truism of drum play skills. VLADIMIR TERESHENKO (TEREX) (bass, vocals) – graduated from Bryansk Art school as a painter, participant of local bands in 80-90-ies. Lives in Moscow at present. An organizer of series of “Books of Underground” festivals. General Manager of BRD label. A leader of Unitedsoundart association.
