Hidden beneath one chord playing Indie bands Two Spot Gobi emerges with funk, pop and Brighton cool to cheer up this summer Two Spot Gobi successfully break all musical barriers and fusion classical instruments such as Cello and Trumpet into their music. This band has already reached critical acclaim by fellow musicians, critics and has gained a huge fan base worldwide. Their first single ‘ Sunshine lady’ is out 9th June on IRL and will be followed up by the album in autumn 2008. "I was stoked to hear a band full of real musicians, teasing me with funk, jazz and organic pop. A fresh sound to my ears, British or wherever, it's new for the world".. Jason Mraz, musician Being sick of the same old indie sound, Two Spot Gobi founded in 2005 by cellist Rob Lewis and singer James Robbo Robinson in Brighton. Ben Rossa Rosario learned quickly the base, Dino Randhawa already knew how to play guitar and Ben Matthews, drums, didn’t have to be asked twice. Last but not least Matt Ellis, trumpet, stepped to the plate and gave the bands its reoccurring ingredient: The Mix! This band wants to excel in music not in gossip columns. Two Spot Gobi is about six young musicians who all have gained a reputation on their instrument and now want to share this passion with the listener. Two Spot Gobi have played all major venues across London to the South Counties, Cornwall and Devon. Selling out the Barfly, Soho Revue Bar and the Komedia in Brighton. The band has also toured with Newton Faulkner, James Blunt and Jason Mraz. The first single Sunshine Lady of the forthcoming album is being released under IRL on 9th June 2008 and goes alongside with an extensive tour across the UK.
