Carol Anne McGowan, a singer-songwriter from Co.Donegal, Ireland, recorded her limited-release live album "Songs from the Cellar" in a 400-year-old wine cellar in the small German town of Oestrich-Winkel, on the Rhine. These seven songs form a beautiful introduction to her unique musical and lyrical vision, with beguiling melodies and haunting vocals, songs of bittersweet romance, loss and longing, calling up images of faded ballrooms, of journeys undertaken at sea, of dark forests and fairytales.
