Substatic, root their sound between electro & hip-hop genres. Taking elements of rock and dance music, as well as injecting a heavy dose of classical and modern film-score, adding epic and atmospheric intensity to their arsenal of sound. As a live band, Substatic are truly a force to be reckoned with, known for their energetic and dynamic shows. Over the past 12 months they have built up a reputation, as one of the most exciting new bands to come out of Bristol. Supporting acts such as Kosheen, K J Sawka & Fortune Drive along the way and last year performing at festivals: The Electric Picnic (Ireland), Shambala and Orange Ashton Court. So far this year, their strong following has spread to London, packing out venues in Monto Water Rats, Punk, Electrowerkz and The Macbeth. The response to their gigs in their short history suggests that great things are just around the corner. After making front cover of Bristol Magazine 'Venue' in April, they’ve been hand picked to support Ozomatli at Bristol Acadamy next month and gained a main stage slot at Shambala festival this year.
