His work was born in the heart of the sweet melodies and rhythms influenced by the samba beats from the 20's, 30's and 40's and legendary Brazilian artists and renamed world composers such as Noel Rosa and Tom Jobim, Villa Lobos, João Gilberto, Dorival Caymmi, Adoniram Barbosa, Rita Lee, Debussy Bartok, Bach, Beatles, Chico Buarque and Björk. The contemporary side of Umanto is expressed in the way he pictures reality with subtle clarity. The electronic texture is also another characteristic of his work which refers to the metropolis. The groove and its controlled bpm's inspire and define the rhythm of the Brazilian soul.
