Unite Tribe are a five piece band from North Co. Dublin. Formally known as the "Rastafenians" they have been together since September 2004. The Tribe have played many of Ireland's top venues including the Tripod, Spirit Store, Whelans, Crawdaddy, the Temple Bar Music Centre and The Trinity Rooms. There has been an overwhelmingly positive response to these gigs from music lovers. Many unfamiliar with the reggae genre have been pleasantly suprised. The Tribe’s take on Reggae crosses many musical boundaries and incorporates many styles. The band have wide ranging musical influences including DJ Shadow, Pink Floyd, High Tone and Bob Marley to name but a few. Their orginal sound is broadly termed as “new wave reggae”. Recent gigs have seen The Tribe play with legends such as... Isreal Vibration, The Skatalites, Culture, The Congo's, The Gladiators and New Zealand’s number one band The Blackseeds. 2007 has seen the band record their debut album, Enlocari (available on itunes, cd baby and amazon!). They have toured Eastern Europe, the U.K. and Germany and have just relocated to Berlin to spread their musical message. 2008 promises to be another busy year with the band touring all over Europe.
