Over the past year Cler Lever has become a rising star within the UK’s underground music scene, bringing with her a blend of techno and house suitable for all manners of occasions. After winning the Cream DJ Competition in 2007 Cler has moved from strength to strength. Her biggest achievement to date is by far becoming the first female DJ ever to play the Mainstage at Creamfields, warming up for Mark Ronson. Not leaving her underground roots aside Cler has started her already renouned night Rhumba breathing a new life into the Liverpool music scene and bring the carnival to the club. Past nights span the length of the UK including warm up parties for Justice in Liverpool to name but a few. Cler is now looking to set her sites on other nights, broadening her horizons but taking her sound with her. “CREAM OF THE CROP Creamfields 2007 saw its first female DJ play the mainstage in the form of spinmeister Cler Lever. Martin Vovk caught up with her at the festival, and we give the 4Talent verdict on Creamfields '07 'Opening the stage this year, though, is Cler Lever, whose early set of chilled progressive house serves as a reminder of the festival's origins as well indicating its commitment to new talent.” Channel 4 Talent "The standard of the competition this year was outstanding," said panellist Andy Mac. "All six finalists were mindblowingly good. Cler is a deserved winner, especially in light of such strong competition. Her confidence shone through in the final, and rocking the dance floor obviously comes naturally to her." Andy Mac, Cream
