The band was formed in 1999 by young and experienced musicians in Hungary. In the beginning years the Insipid attended successful at band competitions and released three EPs. Insipid became quickly more and more popular in Hungary, played gigs in their hometown and the capital city or performing on festivals before bigger bands. Since 2001 the band put up a good show in each year at Sziget and other festival between the invited quests. In 2002 the band made their third EP, calles Puerto Rico, which leader song made them really famous. Puerto Rico was already on daily rotation at the playlist of local and national radios in Hungary and this song increased the band’s television and magazines acts. In 2004 released the new EP – „Kapcsolj át!” – with multimedia content. The song and the first video reached high success on the Hungarian Viva TV. In 2005-2006 filled up with songwriting and concert tour in Hungarian clubs and festivals. Insipid have signed a record contract with Pixel Film and the band’s first original recorded LP was out in 2008, with title „Hazafutás”.
