JELENA BRACIKA is a singer of great sensibility and diversity. She hails from SERBIA, where she graduated Acting at The Academy of Arts in Belgrade, and has been an active performer in both THEATER and MUSIC scene. After being awarded a scholarship to attend BERKLEE College of Music, she relocated to Boston, where she is graduating this Spring, as a Vocal Performance major; and where not only has she refined her vocal gift, but began writing as well. Jelena's ORIGINAL compositions are a captivating blend of WORLD MUSIC and JAZZ, highly influenced by LATIN and Music of the BALKANS; evocative lyrics and the sultry voice that allures in an array of languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese and Serbian. A true World Music treat!! Jelena's band is an impressive assembly of Jazz musicians from all across the World: Daniel Meron (piano), Daniel Ori (bass) and Dan Pugach (drums) from ISRAEL; Elias Meister (guitar) from GERMANY and Pablo Eluchans (percussion/drums) from CHILE. A fresh unity of voices of MIDDLE EAST, EUROPE and SOUTH AMERICA! They have all already been acclaimed artists in their native coutries, before coming to the US and today they represent the NEW GENERATION of musicians and writers, shaping the Jazz landscapes of NEW YORK, BOSTON and beyond.. All music is World Music! MUSIC KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES!
