Styptic biography: In the beginning of 2000 a group of five painters tried to form a band in order to kill a lot of spare time. The only thing that this group of painters did was to have one rehearsal and waste many days to find a proper name for the non-existing band: Styptic - the word was taken from a dictionary and it stands for “a remedy* that staunches bleeding”. Milan (drums) and Well-bee have continued to work and after a while Stevan (bass-guitar) joined them. The band have made twelve songs and immediately started to have shows: (High School of Arts, Underground Club, Dom Vojske, HC festival in Cegar, guitar festival in Topola). In the beginning of 2002, Father (vocal) and M.Proke (guitar) joined the band. The first song “Single” was recorded. The song was very well accepted by the local radio stations and the band continued to work on new songs and had a few well-attended performances which resulted in the offer to record three songs for “SouthSiders” compilation. In the end of the year, 3 songs – Childhood, Way and New Kind (which was made out during the recording) were frequently broadcasted by the local radio stations, and the band had a show at the Symphony club, and that was the last time Milan has played with the band. His place was taken over by Fly and the band appearred before sellout audiences in Banovina. The year 2004 started with the concert in Dom Omladine in Belgrade, and in Niš the band played their first solo-gig at “Distorzija” club. After a while Stevan left the band and the band entered a studio and recorded five demo songs (Junk Yard). For that occasion Vlada Karadžov recorded the bass-lines. After the recording had been finished the band, together with Ivan Hadži Zdravkovic, shot a video for the song “Blocked”. At that period a new bass-player Archy joined the band and they started to promote their new material (EP "Junk Yard") and to perform in Belgrade, Niš, Majdanpek, Jagodina, Svrljig... The band was offered to play on the first "Cupa Rock Memorial 2005” and they won the first prize “VEDA”. Right after that they had a performance on NISOMNIA '05 and TATTOO-EXPO festivals. The band continued with the promotion of their new material. In February 2006 Archy’s place was taken over by Daliborus. They recorded the second Promo EP called “MODE” which included 6 songs. EP was greatly received by the audience and promotions followed. The band was slowly collecting material for their first album. They are currently working on pre-session recording for the album called “Noesis”. The album will include 9 new songs (out of 28 band’s songs), one of which is acoustic! More information soon. SRB:Pocetkom 2000. godine petorica slikara pokušavaju da oforme bend kojim bi ubili previše slobodnog vremena. Jedna odradena proba i gomila dana bacenih na pronalaženje adekvatnog naziva za nepostojeci bend. Styptic - rec uzeta iz recnika i oznacava "sredstvo za zaustavljanje krvarenja" je jedina stvar koju je uradila ta grupa slikara. Iz te prve "postave" Milan (bubanj) i Well-bee nastavljaju sa radom, a ubrzo se prikljucuje i Stevan na bas gitari. Bend je sklopio nekih 12 autorskih pesama i odmah krenuo sa svirkama (Umetnicka Škola, Underground, Dom vojske, HC fest u Cegru, Gitarijada u Topoli). Pocetkom 2002 godine bendu se prikljucuju Father (vokal) i M.Proke (gitara) i snima se prva pesma “Single”. Pesma je dobro prošla po lokalnim radio stanicama, a grupa radi na novim pesmama i održava nekoliko veoma posecenih svirki što je rezultovalo ponudom za snimanje tri pesme za kompilaciju “SouthSiders”. Krajem godine pesme Childhood, Way i New kind (koja je smišljena za vreme snimanja) sve više vremena provode na radio stanicama, a bend drži svirku u Simfonijskom klubu, što je ujedno bio i poslednji Milanov nastup sa bendom. Na njegovo mesto dolazi Fly i bend nastupa pred više od hiljadu ljudi u Banovini. Godina 2004. pocinje nastupom u Domu Omladine u Beogradu dok u Nišu bend pravi prvu samostalnu svirku u klubu Distorzija. Ubrzo Stevan odlazi, a bend ulazi u studio i snima 5 demo pesama. Za tu priliku Vlada Karadžov snima bas deonice. Nakon finiširanja snimka grupa zajedno sa Ivanom Hadži-Zdravkovicem snima spot za pesmu “Blocked”, a u to vreme dolazi novi basista Archy. Bend pocinje sa promocijom novog materijala (EP “Junk Yard) i svira u Beogradu, Nišu, Majdanpeku, Jagodini, Svrljigu… Dolazi ponuda za sviranje na prvom CUPA ROK MEMORIJAL-u 2005. godine a Styptic osvaja prvu nagradu “VEDA”. Odmah nakon toga sledi nastup na NISOMNIA 05 i TATTOO EXPO festivalu. Bend nastavlja sa promocijom materijala a u Februaru ‘06. Arcijevo mesto zauzima Daliborus. Snima se drugi Promo EP pod nazivom “MODE” koji sadrži 6 pesama. EP je odlicno prihvacen i slede promocije istog, a bend lagano prikuplja materijal za prvi album. Trenutno se radi na pre-session snimku za album ciji je radni naziv “Noesis” i koji ce sadržati 9 novih pesama (od ukupno 28 koliko bend ima) od kojih je jedna akusticna! Vise informacija uskoro.
