Dave Tozer and Craig Allison met through a mutual friend in 2002, when Craig moved to London from Manchester. The pair hit it off after an all night drinking session, sharing influences from their musical backgrounds. Dave spent his formative years obsessed with all things Rock while Craig grew up listening to underground Hip Hop and Electronica. Both went on to release dance music 12”s and remixes under the P.O.D. and Disposable DJs monikers, and it wasn’t until December 2005 that they got together to record a track. Dave had dusted off his guitars from his old band days and the pair decided to record anything, with the remit of making music they like without trying to fit into any particular genre. In 2006, the pair recorded the “No Potato Required” EP. They submitted this to the Glastonbury 2007 Emerging Talent competition, and beat over 2000 bands to be selected for the final by a Radio 1 Panel. This secured them a gig at the festival, so much of 2007 was spent developing the live guitar/drums/keys/sampling/decks/fx show. With gigs at Glastonbury, IndigO2 and countless warehouse parties under their belt, and the new “Man vs Machine” EP in their pocket, 2008 is the year the pair are making their big push. Onwards!
